Missing Albany woman located by passing motorist

UPDATE 12/14/17 8 .am. -- Albany Police tell us 60-year-old Marilyn Soto Torres who was missing in the City of Albany has been located.

Police tell us Torres was located Thursday morning around 7:20 a.m. on Clinton Avenue near Ten Broeck Street.

Investigators tell us she was observed by a passing motorist who notified police.

Police tell us Torres is safe and appears to be in good health at this time.

She was evaluated by members of the Albany Fire Department and has been transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital for as a precaution.


ALBANY -- Police are attempting to locate a 60-year-old woman last seen Wednesday morning, on Second Avenue.

They say Marilyn Soto Torres was last seen at her home this morning on the 300 block of Second Avenue, shortly after 9 a.m.

She is described as a Hispanic female, light skin, approximately 5’3” tall, 150-160 lbs with blonde colored hair and brown eyes. She is possibly wearing a black colored coat with brown fur around the hood, gray shoes with white soles and possibly a dark colored winter hat. She also only speaks Spanish.

Police say Soto has a history of mental illness and may not be dressed appropriately for tonight’s weather. Both the police department and family are concerned about her safety.
