Lake George crash: Driver arrested, charged for driving double the legal limit
LAKE GEORGE (WRGB) – A New Jersey woman is facing an aggravated DWI charge after a two-car crash in Lake George Sunday night.
According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to a crash in the area of State Route 9 and 9N South at 8:30 PM involving two vehicles.
Upon arrival, the deputy noticed that one of the drivers involved showed signs of intoxication. They said Sue Gibbons, 56, was arrested after field sobriety tests were conducted.
The sheriff’s office said Gibbons provided a breath sample with a result of .24% --- more than double the legal limit of .08% in the state.
Gibbons was processed for Aggravated DWI and issued tickets for following too closely and refusal to take a roadside breath test.
She was released and is due in in court at a later date.
