This isn't the lifesaving equipment one usually associates with first responders, but local fire crews say the gear will help protect beloved members of your family.

Invisible Fence donated a set of oxygen masks specifically set up to revive pets of all sizes, when they're injured or inhale smoke in a house fire.

The company donated the kits to the Boght Community Fire Department in Colonie.

Each kit comes with a small, medium, and large mask, and the fact that they're tailored to fit animals could make all the difference.

The masks hook up to specialized oxygen rigs, and we're told several other local fire departments are lined up to receive the kits.
