Voters in New York's 19th Congressional District will decide on June 26th who will run against Republican Congressman John Faso. CBS6 News spoke with the candidates about healthcare.
Statement from Tom Szymanski, Campaign Manager for Congressman Faso’s Campaign.
"Obamacare promised to reduce average premiums by $2500. Instead, it raised costs for families and small businesses, with astronomically higher premiums and deductibles. John Faso voted to replace that law with an alternative that would reduce health care costs, improve patient choice, protect individuals with pre-existing conditions and finally relieve homeowners of state Medicaid mandates paid by property taxpayers.
John Faso's opponents have all embraced single payer health care which would result in crippling tax increases, force everyone with employer-provided health insurance into a government plan and undermine the solvency of Medicare for seniors. John Faso supports efforts which protect Medicare, cover pre-existing conditions, and make healthcare more affordable and accessible for every American.”
