A Gloversville man has been arraigned, charged with murder, accused of slashing his victim's throat.
According to investigators, the incident took place on Thursday night, just before midnight, in the area around McLaren and Mc Kinley Place.
Police arrived for a report of a structure fire and located a man who was suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Police say the 77-year-old man, later identified as John Lee, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
During the investigation, police say 4 people were detained, one man, 47 year old Thomas Quillan was arrested.
Wearing a mask and a white jumpsuit, Thomas J. Quillan faced a judge, where he was arraigned on the charge of second degree murder.
Quillan was arraigned and remanded to the Fulton County Jail.
