Pittsfield police identify man whose body was found in waste container
UPDATE: Police have identified the person whose body was found in a waste container Saturday as Louis E. Ely, 22, of Briggs Avenue.
Investigators believe Ely climbed into the container, and foul play is not suspected.
An autopsy was conducted Sunday at the Holyoke Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The determination of the cause and manner of Ely's death are pending toxicological and other testing.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Police are investigating after a body was found in a front-loader waste container Saturday.
Police said the body was found at 771 Tyler Street, and investigators are at the scene.
Investigators have not yet determined whether the body is that of an adult or a child, nor the person's sex.
