Pittsfield police seek suspect in shooting that injured one
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Pittsfield police are investigating a shooting Saturday night that left a man with an injured leg.
At about 11:46 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and multiple calls for shots fired in the area of 54 Spring Street.
Arriving officers spoke with a 38-year-old male who had received a minor injury from a projectile grazing his leg. The injuries appear to be non-life-threatening.
The suspect is described as a white make, about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark jacket. The suspect fled southbound on Spring Street.
Police said a K-9 track located a firearm and other evidence, and surveillance video was also collected. They said the incident appears to be isolated.
This incident is currently under investigation by the Pittsfield Police Detective Bureau, Crime Scene Services Unit and Uniformed Patrol Division.
