Police: Three arrested after marijuana deal goes bad

COLONIE, NY (WRGB) Colonie Police say they have arrested three men at a hotel after they say a marijuana deal went bad.

Police say the responded to theBest Western Albany Airport Inn for reports of a fight at just after 10:00 AM on Monday.

There, according to police a 20 year old man was found with a leg and head injury following a fight with three hotel patrons.

Police say the 20 year old victim went to the hotel to sell the men marijuana when he was attacked and robbed of $800.

Police say the responding officers located three suspects and recovered the victim's wallet.Police say they also recovered a loaded handgun in an HVAC unit in the room.

The three suspects, all from North Carolina were charged with robbery, assault, and grand larceny.

Police arrestedJamaro T. Rawlings, 26, Samuel Q. Jones, 22, andMalik J. Joyner, 24.

Jones and Joyner were also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

The victim was treated, but not charged at the time of the reported assault.
