Police: Woman arrested for DWI after crash involving officer
GLOVERSVILLE, NY (WRGB) Police have arrested a Gloversville woman after police say she struck a officer with her car while children were trick or treating.
Police say the crash happened just before 7:00 PM on Halloween, when 63 year old Bobbi Trudel, who police say was behind the wheel when she struck an on duty Gloversville Police Officer on a bicycle.
That officer was on duty while children were trick or treating in the area of Church street and N. Arlington Ave.
The officer was taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital’s Emergency Room, where he was treated, and released after suffering minor injuries in the crash.
Police say Trudel was determined to be intoxicated and arrested. She's been charged with reckless endangerment, aggravated DWI, criminal mischief, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle.
She's also facing traffic violations. She's been arraigned and sent to the Fulton County Correctional Facility on $15,000 bail.
