Pols make push to save Toys for Tots train
There’s a bi-partisan push to save the Toys for Tots holiday train.
The move comes after Amtrak recently announced they were ending the nearly two-decade tradition that helped deliver toys to tens of thousands of kids across the Capital Region.
Republicans John Faso and Elise Stefanik joined Democrat Paul Tonko in a letter sent to Amtrak calling on the company to reconsider.
Amtrak has said that they are ending the service because of new financial guidelines for their charter trains.
