WASHINGTON (WRGB) - As the government shutdown continues, the Capital Region's newest representative in Washington is calling for his pay to be withheld.

The move comes as other federal employees are set to miss their first paycheck on Friday. Rep. Antonio Delgado made the announcement on Twitter, saying he'll be asking for his pay to be withheld as long as the shutdown continues.

Rep. Elise Stefanik has also called for her pay to be withheld during the shutdown. Rep. Paul Tonko has called for his pay to be donated to Capital Region charities.
