TROY -- At a ceremony in Troy on Wednesday, four Turkey Trot runners were recognized for saving the life of another runner.
Each of the four received a "Good Samaritan" award for their actions that saved the life of one of the Troy Turkey Trot's 10K participants this year. One of the women who helped, a registered nurse, said she acted on adrenaline and was glad she did.
The ceremony also included the two nonprofit groups behind the event, the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York and Joseph's House and Shelter. They received a $12,000 contribution from online registration donations.
