Police: unspecified threat puts school into lockdown, affects polling place.
ROTTERDAM - The Mohonesen Central School District placed Mohonesen High School into lockdown after police say they received an unspecified threat against the school.
As a precautionary measure, the school locked down all building, including the bus garage.
The district says that during a lockdown,students, teachers and all staff must remain in lockable classrooms and offices.
All doors and windows are closed and locked with no one is allowed to enter or move about the building. No communication is allowed, which means calls cannot be accepted by or made from the school.
State and Rotterdam Police determined there was no threat and the lockdown was lifted at 1:15.
During the lockdown, voting for the NY democratic primary was closed until the lockdown was lifted.
