Several displaced after fire on Quail Street
ALBANY (WRGB) -- A fire in Albany last night left two buildings damaged and several people without a home, including five children.
According to Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory, the fire happened just after 10:20 pm Tuesday night on Quail Street.
Firefighters found heavy fire on the first floor of one building, which later spread to another building that was connected to the first. The Red Cross is now assisting several of the people affected by the fire.
Chief Gregory said no one was hurt in the fire. The cause is still under investigation, but firefighters believe it started on the first floor of the first building.
