Six face drug charges after Pittsfield warrant searches
PITTSFIELD, Mass -- Six people, three of them juveniles, face drug charges after two warrants were executed simultaneously Wednesday morning.
Members of the Pittsfield Police Department, Berkshire County Drug Task Force, and Berkshire County Special Response Team executed simultaneous search warrants at 362 Columbus Avenue (Apartment 23) and 208 Linden Street in Pittsfield, at about 10:20 a.m.
At those locations, they found a large number of bags of heroin, loose powder heroin, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, distribution paraphernalia for cocaine and heroin, and $8,700 in cash. Police estimated the street value of the drugs found as between $34,000 and $50,000. Two loaded firearms were also recovered.
Arrested were Shaina Sayers, age 30, of Pittsfield for Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in Heroin, and two counts of Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws; Melissa Daniels, age 32, of Pittsfield for Trafficking in Heroin, and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws; Jacob Ferry, age 23, of Pittsfield for Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in Heroin, Possessing a Firearm without an FID card, Possession of Ammunition without an FID card, Possessing a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Improper Storage of a Firearm, and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws; a juvenile for Trafficking in Heroin, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws, Possessing a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Illegal Possession of a Firearm; and two juveniles for Trafficking in Heroin, and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. Additional charges are pending on all arrested individuals.
The juveniles were arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Central Berkshire Juvenile Court.
The adults will be arraigned May 17 in Central Berkshire District Court.
