Special election to fill seat in 102nd Assembly district
UPDATE: According to the state Board of Elections web site, with all 126 districts reporting in, Chris Tague is the projected winner with 45.87% of the current vote count. Aidan O'Connor is projected to have received 44.32% of the vote count.
Three candidates are vying for the open Assembly seat in the 102nd district, vacated by Peter Lopez, who is now a regional administrator for the EPA.
Democratic Greene County legislator Aidan O’Connor, Republican candidate and Schoharie Town Supervisor Chris Tague, and independent Wes Laraway, who has taught at Middleburgh Central School for 30 years all hope to take the position.
