
TOWN OF CARLISLE - State Police inState Police in Cobleskill arrested a Richmondville man , accused violating an Order of Protection.
Police sayTashar G. Thomas, 21, stayed the night at the home of his 16 year old girlfriend despite a stay away order that was ordered by Schoharie County Court back on June 29.
The parents of the 16 year old girl, according to investigators, learned of his presence in the home and contacted police on July 6th.
Officials say the mother was chasing the boyfriend out of her house and fired rounds at him from a shot gun.
It was then, according to police, the 16 year old girl assaulted her mother, allowing Thomas to flee into the woods.
A ground search for Thomas was conducted by personnel from the New York State Police, Schoharie County Sheriff's Office and the New York State Environmental Conservation Police.
Thomas is charged with burglary, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Contempt. His 16 year old girlfriend has been charged with assaulting her mother.
Both defendants were arraigned in the Town of Carlisle Court were remanded to the custody of the Schoharie County Sheriff in lieu of bail.
