State Police: Man arrested, accused of firing shotgun at officers

State Police say a Hillsdale man was arrested, accused of firing shotgun at officers.

HILLSDALE, NY (WRGB) State Police have arrested Hillsdale man after responding to a domestic dispute.

Troopers say they responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a home on State Route 22. On arrival, according to police, 23 year old Tyler Meltz exited the home and fired a shotgun at the patrols.

Police say they then found Meltz hiding in a nearby vehicle, he was taken into custody without incident.

Meltz was arraigned, charged with criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment. His bail was set at $35,000.
