State Police: Two arrested on drug charges after traffic stop


WOODBURY, NY (WRGB) State Police say they have arrested two people after a traffic stop Thursday afternoon.

Police say at around 4:40PM, Troopers stopped a vehicle driven by 42 year old Joshua Gifford. They were found to be in possession of a small bag with cocaine residue, according to police.

Both Gifford and the passenger, 36 year old Thomas Chandler were taken into custody. Troopers say Chandler was in possession of approximately 4 grams of crack cocaine and 31 grams of powdered cocaine.

Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Woodbury Court, charged with various drug and possession charges.
