Stillwater Police collecting old phones for domestic violence victims

STILLWATER, N.Y. (WRGB) Stillwater police have started their annual cell phone drive for domestic violence victims.

The department has been collecting cell phones for the last fifteen years.

They say over 5,000 phones have been collected and given to victims of domestic crimes so that they a more accessible means of calling police.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
