Three face upgraded charges in connection with Fort Plain homicide
MINDEN -- Three suspects face upgraded charges in connection with a homicide reported in June.
On June 29, Fort Plain police officers responding to 60 Division Street found Joshua L. Laveck, 29, deceased on the front porch shortly after 10 a.m.
On July 1, suspects Eric S. Rivera, 31, of Gloversville, and Aaron L. Cockfield, 33, of Johnstown, were reported in custody. Later that evening, Garry L. Sweet, 38, of Fort Plain was also reported to be in custody.
All three will be arraigned Thursday evening, on upgraded charges. Sweet and Rivera are both charged with murder in the 2nd degree. Cockfield is charged with criminal facilitation in the 2nd degree.
