Police: Toddler injured in Troy shooting
UPDATE: Police say a 2-year-old boy was injured in a shooting Friday night, in the area of 9th Street and Middleburgh Street.
The toddler was inside a vehicle, and was struck in the hand by a bullet that went through his hand and into the car's interior.
He was treated at the scene and transported to a hospital for additional treatment.
Police say the investigation into the incident remains active, and so far indicates that the shooting was not a random act of violence -- that the vehicle that was struck was the intended target.
