PHARR, Texas — A Mexican national was caught last weekend trying to ship meth and frozen strawberries at the border.
Customs and Border Protection officers found a 42-year-old Mexican citizen with a commercial shipment of frozen strawberries arriving from Mexico. An inspection of his trailer revealed 350 packages of alleged meth, totaling 906 pounds, and frozen strawberries.
The man was arrested and released to the custody of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents for further investigation.
Authorities seized $12.7 million worth of meth at the border over the weekend.
