Aldi debuting wine, cheese advent calendars for Christmas
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Christmas is filled with anticipation, from gifts to parties to celebrations with friends and family.
Aldi is making it easier for us in the United States to bide our time leading up to December 25.
The supermarket chain first debuted wine advent calendars in the UK last year and because it was such a success, they decided to expand to US markets in the fall.
The wine calendar contains 24 miniature bottles of red, white, and bubbly varieties including Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Shiraz, Malbec, and blends at $69.99 a pop.
According to the European version from last year, the box contained the equivalent of six full-size bottles of wine.
If you're looking for a calendar to pair with your wine one, Aldi will also be offering a new cheese advent calendar for $12.99 that will include 24 mini pieces of imported cheese.
Both calendars will be available at Aldi stores starting Nov. 7.
