DiamondDawgs and Dutch have game delayed due to darkness
ALBANY, NY (WRGB)-On June 15th, the Albany Dutchmen and Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs were tied at three after nine innings, when the game had to be suspended due to darkness.
Today, play resumed as part of an atypical doubleheader.
And finally, after sixteen inning, Payton Sockwell finally put everyone out of their misery, driving in the game-winner on a walk-off single.

But the DiamondDawgs lead 1-0 in the 4th when the shortstop bobbles the ball and Jon Skidmore beats the throw.
Peyton Stockwell would score on a delayed steal in the next at-bat and Albany manufactures its first run.
Siena hurler Tommy Miller tosses five strikeouts for the Dutchmen and his last K ends up being his last batter of his outing.
Miller goes 4 2/3, allowing four hits and just one run.
The big inning for Albany comes in the 5th as Trace Tyre tags a line drive to center and Griffin Hererra slides in for the go-ahead run.
Next batter, Justin Childers joins the hit parade as a seeing-eye single plates another one and the Dutchmen erupt for six runs in the inning.
But, the game was delayed due to darkness with Albany up 7-1.
They'll finish the game Monday.
