Lynzi is a 2015 graduate of Ithaca College who is happy to be back in her home state after reporting for CBS affiliates in Michigan and Vermont. As the Rutland, VT, bureau chief for WCAX Channel 3 News, Lynzi reported on a range of stories from the city’s plan to welcome Syrian refugees into the community, to the discovery of PFOA in North Bennington’s drinking water – and even nearby Hoosick Falls.

One story Lynzi is particularly proud of is a special piece she did on the rising issue of homeless teens in the state of Vermont. She worked closely with a group of teenagers who were abandoned by their parents, but found a home with one local woman willing to help them out. The piece spotlighted factors like the difficulties kids whose parents suffer from drug and alcohol addictions have, as well as the state’s issue with teens aging out of the system.

In her free time, Lynzi likes to get outside for a run, walk, or to explore the fun places (and delicious restaurants) the capital region has to offer. On her days off you can find her doing just that, with her dog, or visiting her family who she’s thrilled to be near again.
